Taiwan:
Parents usually give another advise instead of encourage their children keep insisting on the difficulties.
USA:
Parents in USA usually encourage their children and tell them not to give up, just like Bobo’s mom had faith with Bobo.
2) Educational differences between Brad as a student and a teacher
Brad as a student:
When Brad was a student, he deeply realized how different he was. His teachers hate him because he “didn’t” obey one of the class rules --- to be quiet during class. His teachers thought since others can do it, why can’t him. They didn’t even try to understand him. Teachers felt that he resisted them on purpose, and give him up.
One exception was his headmaster, he got to know his illness and gave him the courage to face the classmates and accept himself.
Brad as a teacher:
His headmaster gave him not only give him the courage to face people, but also the ambition to become a teacher as good as the headmaster. He did it. He didn’t hate or give up any of his students when he or she acts differently because everyone is unique and deserve a good teacher.
3) Overall inspirations.
As a patient of Tourette, Brad was afraid to stay with the crowd. Not only because of the students would find his weird behavior and make fun of him, but also because all of his teachers didn't understand his illness and always blame him strictly. Thanks to the support from the headmaster, he started to cooperate with his “partner” and achieve his life goal. Everyone will all face difficulties. However, these difficulties are also challenging your mind to make you more firm and stronger.

1. How do you think of the Palestinian mother’s cultural identity?
It is because of the variant of Palestine makes her decides to move. She immigrates to the U.S. in order to give her son a better learning environment and a chance to develop in the future. And she is still well-recognized herself as a Palestinians.
2. What two scenes impress you the most in the ethnic tension in the film between different races and religions?
Fadi thought his classmates played tricks on his mom and made her got injured on purpose. He could not stand his family got hurt. He was so mad that lost his mind and fought his classmate. As the view of police, they thought it is probably a terrorist attack just because Fadi was from Palestine. The police had prejudice on the people from unstable country. However, everyone knows it was just a boy who wanted to protect his mom. She did not deserve the unfair treating.
When Muna was going through customs, the agents’ attitude towards her is very poor. They banned anything they thought would have possibilities of danger and threw them away. Her life savings are confiscated by customs agents at O'Hare, along with the cookie tin she kept them in. That is rude. Who do they thought they were? It is U.S. gave approval to Muna to immigrant here. Therefore, she has as equal status as every American has. She has the right to be treated like a citizen, not as a criminal.
